FingerTap  Test

One of the most important characteristics of impaired movement in Parkinson’s Disease is bradykinesia. Bradykinesia is defined as the progressive reduction in speed, amplitude, or both, and is one of the most important symptoms of Parkinson’s. Finger tapping is the commonly used dexterity assessment for this purpose. ParkinsonAI’s user is asked to tap a finger on a button on the smartphone screen for around 10 to 15 seconds for as quickly and widely as he can. This allows ParkinsonAI to capture the relevant data to assess Parkinson’s Disease symptoms.
